Featured items include furniture, toys, gift certificates, and collectibles.  Auctioneer Charlie Pardon has again donated his services for the event, so be prepared to be entertained as one of the area’s very best auctioneers takes charge.  If you would like to donate a new or used item in good condition, please call Anita at 680-4862 or Charles at 690-0506 and we will pick your items up.  (Please, no clothes.)

Proceeds from the 6th annual HSCBA benefit auction stay in the community.  $1,500 from the first auction was donated to the City and used to purchase the baby swing at greenway Park.  In 2008 HSCBA established a Small Grant Program for worthy community efforts sponsored by non profit groups to receive funding.  Some of the funded projects include a Girl Scout planting at North Elementary School; Eagle Scout projects at Greenway Park and the Fire Protection District; providing emergency needs to a foster parent group; assisting the Soup Kitchen; and youth camp scholarships.  HSCBA established a benevolence fund to help community members in times of crisis, and initiated a smoke alarm program, putting 250 smoke alarms into 65043 residences.  Remaining proceeds go towards HSCBA activities, such as putting on the annual Holts Summit Harvest festival each October; making Christmas gift baskets for local families; and donating to worthy causes such as the Katy Trail Spur off South Summit Drive, purchasing a three-compartment sink and major appliances for the Civic Building at Greenway Park, Special Olympics and the Callaway County Health and Dental Initiative.  HSCBA is an all volunteer 501 C 6 non profit organization.

Please mark your calendars to attend the Auction, March 10, 2012.

Lions Club members will host a refreshment stand.

Spring Fest 2012
HSCBA will host a Spring Fest 2012 at Summit Lake Winery on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.  Everyone is invited to stop by the Winery Patio to meet HSCBA members and learn more about our organization.  This will also be an excellent opportunity to network with fellow 65043 business and community members.

There will be NO formal meeting or presentation, just a chance to mingle and talk one on one or in small groups.  HSCBA will have some light appetizers; the Winery will have an assortment of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.  Photography buffs may want to bring their cameras to capture the fantastic views from the Winery patio.
Please join us for 90 minutes of getting acquainted and re-acquainted.
